Provenance	Deeded to the College as part of the Rodney M. Stimson Collection in 1900. Stimson (1822-1913) was a lawyer, newspaper editor and librarian for the State of Ohio and Marietta College.

Library marking on lower section “S 298 S65”, Spine Lettering and Label: Black ribbon present, slight deterioration at edges. Gold lettering faintly visible Cover: Book tape on top and bottom of spine wrapped around onto upper and lower left cover corners. Color change on left edge near spine. Wear marks on upper and lower right corners. Back cover: the same book tape on upper and lower spine edge corners. color change (adhesive/preservation) on edge near spine. Binding: In tact. Bookplate Sticker listing Marietta College Library on front pastedown.
